Delete your HomeLedger account

Delete from the app

Open HomeLedger → Settings → About & support → Delete account. Review the household warning and choose whether to also delete local records and HomeLedger Drive backups. Confirm and verify your Google account.

Request deletion without the app

Email monu.giri.work@gmail.com with the subject “HomeLedger account deletion” from the Google email used in HomeLedger. To delete private Drive backups, use the app or remove HomeLedger hidden data in Google Drive settings; support cannot access your private Drive folder. We will verify ownership and normally complete the request within 30 days. Do not send passwords, bank details or purchase tokens.

Request account deletion

Reset data and keep your account

Open Settings → Your data → Reset your ledger. Confirm to erase this phone’s personal and saved household entries, accounts, budgets, schedules and receipt images. The app signs you out while preserving your cloud account, Pro entitlement and other members’ shared records. Export a backup first if you need one.

You can select “Also erase Drive backups” before resetting to remove HomeLedger’s private backups without deleting your account. You can also remove HomeLedger hidden data in Google Drive settings.

Delete a household

The owner can open Household → Household options → Delete household. This ends every active membership and invalidates invitations. Each member keeps read-only history from before deletion, including past household and split names. Removing a member or leaving similarly preserves past history and stops future sharing.

For another data deletion request, email monu.giri.work@gmail.com from your connected Google address. We verify ownership and normally respond within 30 days. Do not include passwords or bank details.

What is deleted?

Your Firebase profile, memberships and Pro entitlement are removed. Any household you own is closed and its live records and invites are deleted. Other members keep past shared history with your identity anonymised. Shared history in homes owned by others and your identity in their private archives are anonymised so their records remain consistent. Your own cloud archives are deleted. Copies already held locally or exported by other people cannot be recalled.

What is separate?

Personal data stays on the phone unless you choose to erase it. Exported files and copies held by other people are outside HomeLedger’s control. A hash of your Google account identifier and trial dates is retained to prevent repeated free trials; it contains no email, name or financial records. Google Play retains its own payment records. Drive backups remain unless you choose to delete them; you can also remove hidden HomeLedger data in Google Drive settings.

Deleting your account or uninstalling the app does not cancel a paid subscription. Cancel in Google Play before the next renewal.
